A double roller press granulator is a dry granulation device that uses a purely physical extrusion principle to directly form powdered materials into granules. Unlike traditional wet granulation processes, this equipment does not require the addition of water, binders, or heating and drying during the entire granulation process. It relies on the high-pressure extrusion force between two rollers to cause plastic deformation of the material, ultimately obtaining uniform granules with high strength and density.
The double roller press granulator mainly consists of a feeding system, an extrusion system, a crushing system, and a screening system.
Dry powder material is added from the top, degassed, and pre-compressed by a screw before entering between two opposing rotating rollers. Under the extrusion force of hundreds of tons, it is compressed into flakes, and then undergoes crushing, granulation, and screening processes to obtain the finished granules. The extrusion pressure can be flexibly adjusted through a hydraulic system according to the granulation requirements of different materials.
