The powder fertilizer packaging machine is a fully automatic, quantitative packaging system specifically developed for the characteristics of powdered materials in the fertilizer industry. It integrates automatic bag making, auger metering, automatic filling, precision sealing, intelligent coding, and finished product conveying, enabling a completely unmanned packaging process—from raw material to finished product—for powdered fertilizers.
The automated packaging process for powdered fertilizer machines typically involves the following core stages:
Material is conveyed via a hoist to the packaging scale's hopper, with material levels monitored in real-time by an automatic control system. The metering stage is the heart of the equipment; mainstream models utilize high-precision load cells combined with a three-stage feeding method (fast/medium/slow) for precise quantity control. Taking screw metering as an example, the screw is driven directly by a servo motor and rotates to feed material based on control signals, while the weighing controller processes sensor signals in real-time to achieve dynamic weighing compensation. Metering accuracy can generally be controlled within ±0.2%.
Fully automatic models use vacuum suction cups to retrieve and open bags from a magazine, positioning the bag opening over the discharge spout; photoelectric sensors confirm correct placement. A pneumatic clamping device automatically secures the bag opening to ensure it does not detach during the filling process.
Material is precisely injected into the packaging bag via a screw or belt-type feeding mechanism. For powders prone to dusting, the equipment typically employs a lifting filling structure—where the discharge spout gradually rises from the bottom of the bag—to minimize dust dispersion.
Once filling is complete, the machine automatically performs the sealing operation. Sealing methods include heat sealing (suitable for composite films and PE films) and stitching (suitable for woven bags). The sealed finished bags are discharged via a conveyor belt to the next stage, such as palletizing or warehousing.
In terms of application scenarios, powder fertilizer packaging machines primarily serve:
Quantitative bagging of powders at organic fertilizer, compound fertilizer, and water-soluble fertilizer processing plants
Packaging production for agricultural inputs such as soil remediation powders, rooting powders, trace element fertilizers, and antibacterial powders
Flexible packaging needs—involving various specifications, small batches, and diverse product types—for small and medium-sized agricultural input processing plants
Integration with large-scale production lines, connecting to upstream mixing, blending, and conveying equipment to form fully automated, complete production lines for powdered fertilizers
The packaging machine does not operate in isolation; its coordination with upstream and downstream processes directly impacts the efficiency of the entire production line.
Upstream, the powder fertilizer typically originates as a semi-finished product from a pulverizer or a finished powder blend from a mixer. After exiting the mixer, the powder is transported via a bucket elevator to a finished product silo before being quantitatively packaged. If the moisture content of the powder is high, intermediate drying and cooling stages are required to prevent caking after packaging.
Downstream, the packaged product can be sent directly to storage or connected to an automatic palletizer for stacking and stretch-wrapping, a process suitable for high-volume shipments.
