The oil palm industry in Pahang, Malaysia, generates vast quantities of processing by-products—specifically palm fibers and residues—annually. Indiscriminate disposal of these wastes poses environmental risks, creating an urgent need for resource recovery solutions. A custom-designed, 5-ton-per-hour powdered organic fertilizer production line from Huaqiang Heavy Industry has successfully commenced operations locally, transforming palm waste into organic fertilizer and establishing a model project for the circular utilization of solid palm waste in Southeast Asia.

The core configuration of the production line includes a loader feeding hopper, a chain crusher, an automatic batching system, a twin-shaft paddle mixer, a drum screener machine, and a packaging machine; the system is specifically optimized to handle the long fibers and fluctuating moisture content characteristic of palm materials. Fermented and decomposed palm fibers and residues are loaded into the hopper, ensuring a uniform and steady feed. The chain crusher powerfully breaks down tangled long fibers, resolving issues with material clumping and machine clogging. An automatic batching system precisely proportions raw materials to ensure balanced nutrient content. The materials are thoroughly mixed in the twin-shaft paddle mixer, then passed through a drum screener machine to remove coarse impurities, yielding a fine, powdered product that is finally conveyed to the packaging machine for quantitative bagging.
The equipment operates continuously and reliably on-site, achieving an actual output of 5 tons per hour. The finished product boasts high organic matter content, making it ideal for soil improvement in oil palm plantations and tropical fruit and vegetable farms. The project processes palm industrial waste on-site and supplies fertilizer directly to nearby plantations, creating a "palm waste–organic fertilizer–oil palm cultivation" closed-loop system.
