Horizontal and vertical turners exhibit different performance characteristics in the organic fertilizer fermentation process, providing fertilizer production enterprises with diverse choices.
From the perspective of structure and working principle, the fermentation tank of the horizontal flipping machine is placed horizontally, and the flipping components stir and flip the materials horizontally in the tank. The material is fully exposed to air and promotes fermentation through the rotation and movement of the flipping components in the horizontal tank. The vertical turning machine places the fermentation tank vertically, and the materials inside the tank are turned up and down through a cycle. By combining gravity and mechanical power, the materials are exchanged between different levels to achieve the purpose of fermentation.
In terms of fermentation effect, the horizontal turning machine has a wide stirring range, which can fully mix the materials in the horizontal direction, and has a good fermentation effect on large areas of materials. However, due to the accumulation of materials in the tank, there may be inconsistent degrees of fermentation between the upper and lower layers. The vertical stacker can effectively solve the problem of material layering by circulating materials up and down, making the fermentation of materials inside the entire tank more uniform and the quality of fertilizers more stable.
In terms of application scope, the horizontal turning machine is suitable for processing materials with large capacity and wide footprint, such as large-scale mixed fermentation of crop straw and livestock manure. Vertical turning machines are more suitable for enterprises that require high space utilization and hope to achieve efficient fermentation in limited spaces, such as small organic fertilizer processing plants around cities.
In terms of operation and maintenance, the horizontal flipping machine has a relatively simple structure and is easy to operate. However, due to the flipping components working in the tank, cleaning and maintenance are relatively complicated. The operation of a vertical stacker is relatively complex, requiring monitoring and adjustment of the circulation system inside the tank. However, the overall sealing of the equipment is good, and the maintenance cycle is relatively long.
In terms of energy consumption, the horizontal turning machine has a relatively large mixing area and high motor power requirements, resulting in relatively high energy consumption. The vertical stacker has relatively low energy consumption through reasonable material design.
In terms of investment cost, the price of horizontal turntables is relatively low, making them suitable for enterprises with limited funds. The price of vertical stacker equipment is relatively high, but its efficient fermentation method and space saving characteristics have high value for some enterprises with long-term development plans.
When choosing a horizontal or vertical stacker, enterprises should make a scientific and reasonable decision based on factors such as their own production scale, site space, operation and maintenance capabilities, and cost budget.
