In fertilizer production, the applicable scenarios of chain crusher and half-wet material crusher are significantly different. Choosing the right equipment can make production more efficient.

Chain crusher is good at processing dry hard raw materials. Faced with low-humidity (water content <15%) block materials such as phosphate rock powder and potassium salt, the impact force generated by the high-speed rotation of its cross manganese steel chain can break 60mm agglomerates into 3-5mm particles, and it is not easy to clog. Its advantage lies in its high crushing hardness, which is suitable for processing mineral raw materials in compound fertilizer production, can ensure the uniformity of material particles, and lay the foundation for subsequent mixing processes.

Half-wet material crusher is specially designed for high-humidity raw materials. For materials with a water content of 20%-50% such as fermented chicken manure and cow dung, its double-layer blades and kneading mechanism can effectively avoid adhesion and clogging. The spiral material disc prolongs the material residence time, and the viscous material is crushed to about 0.5-5mm. The crushed material is in a loose state, which is convenient for subsequent granulation. In the organic fertilizer production line, it solves the problem of material jamming and low efficiency when traditional equipment handles wet materials.
In terms of crushing effect, the chain crusher produces granular products with a certain particle size; the half-wet material crusher produces finer products and can break up the agglomerated wet material clumps. In terms of energy consumption, when processing the same amount of materials, the semi-wet material crusher consumes about 10% more energy than the chain type because it needs to deal with material adhesion. In terms of maintenance, the chain crusher chain is wear-resistant and has a long maintenance cycle; the blade of the semi-wet material crusher is easy to adhere to wet materials and needs to be cleaned regularly, and the blade replacement frequency is slightly higher.
In summary, a chain crusher is selected for processing dry hard raw materials, and a semi-wet material crusher is selected for processing high-humidity organic raw materials. Only by selecting according to the characteristics of the raw materials can the efficiency and quality of fertilizer production be improved.
